MY PRACTICE

My work unearths hidden narratives, amplifies marginalised voices, and co-designs space that fosters intimacy.

Hi, I am Kitty Gia-Ngân (she/they), a writer and anthropologist of intimacy.

Dissatisfied with the current research and lived experience of intimacy, I founded từ từ in 2020 to make more space for it. từ từ began as a company experimenting with intimacy, and is now a rhizomatic network I lead alongside friends.

I write, research, perform lectures and host gatherings. Sometimes I do consultation and make games.

Following intimacy has led me into unexpected corners and friendships, from food politics, urban planning, to activism, hacking, dis/abilities, neurodiversity and the more-than-human worlds.

I now have a great deal to fuss about intimacy. I’m making books to carry them — in crip time — in dialogue with marginalised scholars and artists.
